The look and feel of Silver Street Cottage is inspired by the local area. Its simple charm & elegance gives it a warm cosy feel. Unique detailing creates an enjoyable place to stay.

The kitchen

The kitchen has been designed with comfort and convenience in mind – equal importance has been placed on ensuring its sociable with the antique pine table at its heart. It benefits from fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave & washing machine.

Meticulous thought has been given to ensure, if you do choose to cook, you don’t miss anything from home. In the cupboard and drawers you will find everything you need from crockery, to cutlery, mugs & cups, glasses, bowls, utensils, pots, pans & dishes as well as basic store room essentials.

The sitting room

Cosy sitting room complete with wood burning stove and all mod cons but also its interesting features such as the wooden beam and décor. Kick back and relax after a day at the beach, a walk in the New Forest or a potter round Christchurch.

The dining room

The dining room comfortably sits up to 8 people and boasts double aspects – if you like sitting in a chair with a book & people watching this is the room for you! The eclectic wall of plates, print tray & trinkets make it a unique and interesting room in which to dine.   Take a look in the dresser and you will find a collection of board games and cards for every age and fancy.

The downstairs bedroom

The downstairs bedroom opens up onto the courtyard – ideal for beautiful days. Luxuriously painted in grey with its character beams & sky lights it has a cast iron king-size bed with antique pine furniture thought out. The bright and contemporary en suite gives easy access to a loo, sink and shower.

A stairway (not best suited to those with unsteady feet) takes you to a tiny square of hallway, with shelves full of books to read or exchange, leading to the two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.

The twin bedroom

The twin room boasts comfortable beds and antique pine furniture – this is a delightfully sunny room with bold lamps and beautiful mirrors. We have recycled some original floor boards for shelves in this room to pop all your bits and pieces.

The double bedroom

Cast iron double bed with cute dressing table and chair. Simple in design with your comfort in mind with shabby chic bedside tables and antique pine chest of drawers. This room shows off our favourite pictures containing vintage kimono fabric.

The bathroom

Mixture of contemporary with its bright turquoise brick tiles and beachy with the beige wood panelling. A bathroom to meets everyone’s needs; those who like a shower & those who like a bath! As well as the additional space the airing cupboard offers you will also find extra items such as stair gates / slip mats to help make Silver Street Cottage child friendly.

The courtyard

With its white picket fence & original flagstones the front garden is picturesque with its lavender and bay tree. To the rear of the cottage the courtyard offers a delightful space to eat alfresco and benefits from plenty of sunshine. In the evening enjoy a glass of wine on the reclaimed church pew in candle light.
